Otterspool Park Playground, the Best View in Liverpool (Bring a Jumper!)
If you are looking for the perfect day out, Otterspool Park Playground is a lovely spot in the city, offering stunning, unobstructed views across the River Mersey.
The Vibe: On a beautiful sunny day, there is nowhere better. The open space and river breeze are perfect.
Pro Tip: Because it’s so open to the Mersey, it gets very cold and windy. Even if it feels mild at home, bring a jumper or coat. You will definitely feel the chill here!
Facilities: You are right next to the Otterspool Adventure Park cafe for food, hot drinks and toilets.
Parking: Street parking is available directly outside, but it fills up fast when the sun is out. Be prepared for a 2-minute walk (100–200m) if the main spots are taken.

Visited September 2026. An excellent location right by the river, and clean too. It could do with more equipment, though, as there’s a large area that isn’t used.
