Aigburth Vale Play Area is a small neighbourhood playground in Aigburth, South Liverpool. You’ll find it on your right as you drive round Sefton Park towards Queens Drive.
It’s set on grass under mature trees, with a climbing frame and slide, spring riders, spinners and swings. The council sign says the play area is for children up to 14, with under-fives supervised by an adult. When we visited, one of the swings was missing.
There are no toilets or café at the play area, and parking is on the street nearby. The closest café is by the lake in Sefton Park, with lovely views, but it doesn’t have toilets. For those, head to the café in the middle of Sefton Park.

1 Review on “Aigburth Vale Play Area”
Visited September 2026. Right next to Sefton Park, this play area is less busy than the Sefton Park playground and has more space. The equipment could be better, and one of the swings is missing. The closest café is by the lake, with lovely views, but it has no toilets. For those you’ll need to walk to the café in the middle of Sefton Park.
