✅ Tips for Halloween with little ones
- Book early: half-term weekends and Halloween itself sell out fast, especially pumpkin farms and indoor shows.
- Costumes: look for the CE or UKCA mark, keep them away from candles and pumpkin lanterns, and use LED tea lights in your own pumpkins.
- Be seen: it’s dark by about 5pm after the clocks go back on 25 October, so add a torch, glow stick or reflective band for trick or treating.
- Trick or treat kindly: stick to houses with a pumpkin or decorations outside, and stay with younger children.
- Allergies: check sweets before little ones tuck in, and carry a non-food treat option if your child has allergies.
- Not too scary: many events have a toddler-friendly daytime session; check the ages before booking.
